At Doncaster Council, we're clear about our top priority. We're here to benefit the people who live and work in our local communities, however we can.
You can see this in the journey of transformation in our Adults, Health and Wellbeing directorate.
In our commitment to making sure people can live independently for longer, we're putting people at the heart of everything we do. That means the people who deliver our changes and provide our services, as well as those who rely on them.
We support our staff to make bold decisions, think creatively, and do innovative things. That doesn't mean we ignore legislation about care. But it does mean we have the freedom to think beyond the norm.
Our leaders at every level are fully behind these changes. As part of our investment in services, we've secured greater stability and continuity across our senior team. Every day our transformation is being driven by real, committed and decisive leadership.
We're not making change happen alone. The Council is committed to working with partner agencies, voluntary and community organisations through our Team Doncaster approach and, of course, we listen to service users and put their needs front and centre. One of our most important relationships is with local healthcare. Our service is now fully integrated with hospital services. Joined-up working leads to smoother pathways and better outcomes.
There are all sorts of exciting changes happening here in Doncaster, and the Council backs them 100%. From the HS2 College, to the link road; from the inland port to Doncaster Sheffield International Airport, we're proud to see this level of investment in local infrastructure. We'd love the world to know how much Doncaster is changing - and we’re proud to be making a world of difference here.
